The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) National has launched a striking billboard campaign in New York City's Times Square, emphasizing themes of cultural resilience and Palestinian heritage during the Christmas period.

It aligns with efforts to amplify Palestinian voices amid the ongoing ‘Israeli’ assault on the Gaza Strip.

The first billboard states, “Jesus is Palestinian. Merry Christmas,” presented in white lettering against a vibrant red background.

It seeks to draw attention to the geographical and cultural origins of Jesus Christ, associating him with Palestinian roots and his birthplace of Bethlehem.

The second billboard incorporates a verse from the Quran (3:45), which announces the birth of Jesus, rendered in Arabic script.

"˹Remember˺ when the angels proclaimed, “O Mary! Allah gives you good news of a Word from Him, his name will be the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary; honoured in this world and the Hereafter, and he will be one of those nearest ˹to Allah˺."

Next to the verse, the greeting “Merry Christmas” appears in both English and Arabic.
