  • Ten Palestinians injured across West Bank and Jerusalem in a day of attacks by 'Israeli' forces and settlers, following a Jenin raid that killed two, including a child.
  • 'Israeli' army implements new “shoot-to-kill” policy against supposed stone throwers, with the first reported victim being 16-year-old Rayan Abu Maala; family disputes the military’s account.

A violent day unfolded in the occupied Palestinian territories on Monday, as ten Palestinians were injured in a series of attacks by 'Israeli' forces and settlers across the West Bank and Jerusalem.

The escalation came just hours after a military operation in Jenin that left two Palestinians dead, including a child.

Map of Injuries: From Jerusalem to Tulkarm

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, two young men were shot with live ammunition near the separation wall in al-Ram, north of Jerusalem, while a third young man and a 50-year-old resident from Jenin were injured at the same site.

In Jericho governorate, 'Israeli' soldiers reportedly beat two young men during a raid on the home of former prisoner Ramzi Fawaz Balhan in Aqabat Jaber refugee camp.

In Tulkarm, a young man was shot in both legs near the Nour Shams refugee camp. Settler attacks also injured three Palestinians between the villages of Kafr Qaddum and Beit Lid.

Two Killed in Jenin; Ambulance Denied Access

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the deaths of 22-year-old Ahmed Said Ziyoud in al-Sila al-Harithiya and 16-year-old Rayan Mohammed Abu Maala in Qabatiya. Medical sources said 'Israeli' forces prevented an ambulance from reaching the injured child, leading to his death before his body was recovered.

New Military Policy: "Shooting to Kill" for Stone Throwing

A report by 'Israeli' newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth revealed that the 'Israeli' army has begun implementing a policy of "shooting to kill" Palestinians suspected of throwing stones. The report identified Rayan Abu Maala as the first victim under these new instructions, claiming he had allegedly thrown a stone.

The child’s family and local witnesses denied the 'Israeli' account, stating that Rayan posed no threat and was returning from a sports class unaware of the soldiers’ presence. Surveillance footage reportedly shows soldiers shooting him at close range.

Renewed Military Operations

These incidents follow the return of the "Mista'arvim" unit to operate in the West Bank under the stated goal of "enhancing deterrence" and enabling daytime raids of refugee camps.
