  • US envoy Steve Witkoff meets Arab mediators in Miami.
  • Talks focus on moving stalled Gaza truce to its next stage.
  • 'Israel’s' withdrawal remains a central issue.

US President Donald Trump’s global envoy, Steve Witkoff, is set to meet officials from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey in Miami on Friday to discuss the next phase of the Gaza truce, according to a White House official speaking to Agence France-Presse (AFP).

The meeting brings together key regional mediators as efforts continue to advance the agreement reached in October, which has yet to fully transition into its second stage.

Diplomatic movement toward the next phase has been limited so far. The second stage of the deal outlines 'Israel’s' withdrawal from its positions in the Gaza Strip, alongside plans to establish an interim governing authority to replace Hamas.
