Eliane Khoury, the second runner-up for Miss Municipalities of Lebanon 2025, has announced that she will not participate in the Miss Planet 2025 pageant, citing concerns over the involvement of 'Israeli' organizers and contestants.

Khoury, who was invited to represent Lebanon at the prestigious pageant, stated that she could not in good conscience compete in an event that included representatives from 'Israel'.

Khoury announced her decision via an Instagram reel, writing in the caption: “All respect to the organizers, but I had to express my stance in a way that aligns with my beliefs. My withdrawal comes with full respect and appreciation to everyone.”

The international competition took place from November 13–18, 2025, in Antalya, Turkey.

Khoury’s decision has sparked discussions online, with many praising her courage and dedication to her principles.
