- 'Israeli' forces killed two Hezbollah members in strikes in southern Lebanon.
- One target was reportedly rebuilding Hezbollah’s military capacity; the other was gathering intelligence.
- The strikes follow a deadly attack on the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp that killed 13 people.
The 'Israeli' military claimed on Wednesday that it killed two Hezbollah members in air and ground strikes in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, continuing operations despite the ceasefire between 'Israel' and the group.
In a statement, the 'Israeli' army said it had “struck and eliminated two Hezbollah terrorists in the areas of Bint Jbeil and Blida in southern Lebanon.” According to the military, the member killed in Bint Jbeil had been involved in rebuilding Hezbollah’s military capacities, which were significantly weakened during the recent conflict with 'Israel'.
The statement added that the Hezbollah member killed in Blida had been gathering intelligence on the 'Israeli' military.
These strikes came a day after at least 13 people were killed in an 'Israeli' attack on the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. The 'Israeli' army said the strike targeted a “training compound” belonging to Hamas. Hamas denied the claim, calling it “lies” and asserting that it has no military installations in Lebanon’s Palestinian camps.

Earlier, the 'Israeli' military reported killing another Hezbollah member on Monday in south Lebanon, accusing him of coordinating activities between Hezbollah and residents in the Mansouri area, where the strike occurred.
Lebanon has repeatedly accused 'Israel' of violating the ceasefire agreement reached under US and French sponsorship on November 27, 2024, citing ongoing strikes and the presence of 'Israeli' forces inside its territory. 'Israel', meanwhile, accuses Hezbollah of attempting to rebuild its military strength and breach the ceasefire terms.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently warned that Hezbollah is seeking to rearm and restore its military capabilities, justifying 'Israel’s' continued operations in the region.
