French news network RMC BFM TV experienced major disruption to its live broadcasts on Saturday after a bomb threat was reported at its Paris headquarters.
The alert prompted an immediate evacuation of all staff as a precautionary measure. The network confirmed on X that security forces were on site conducting inspections and verifying the threat. Programs across all RMC BFM channels were temporarily interrupted.
According to Le Parisien, the live broadcast cut out at 3:19 PM local time after a user online claimed the building would explode around that time. Police quickly established a secure perimeter, deploying bomb disposal units and police dogs to sweep the building and surrounding areas for any potential danger.
Later, the network announced on X that the threat had been cleared, and some staff returned to the offices. RMC BFM TV said normal programming would gradually resume.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the source of the threat, and no arrests have been reported.
