Jordanian FM Safadi meets with US official to discuss Gaza ceasefire
Jordan’s Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, met on Monday with Jeremy Lewin, US Under-Secretary for Foreign Assistance, Humanitarian Affairs and Religious Freedom, at the State Department.
The two officials explored ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States, while also addressing the latest regional developments.
Discussions centered on ongoing efforts to uphold the ceasefire in Gaza, ensure the swift and sufficient delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip, and implement all provisions of the ceasefire agreement.
Safadi highlighted Jordan’s appreciation for US President Donald Trump’s role in helping achieve the ceasefire and praised his proposals aimed at ending the war on Gaza, facilitating aid and reconstruction, preventing Palestinian displacement, and opposing the annexation of the West Bank.
