The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said on Sunday that an 'Israeli' drone dropped a bomb near one of its patrols in the southern town of Kfarkila, Lebanon.
The incident caused no injuries or damage to UN personnel or equipment.
In a statement, UNIFIL said the 'Israeli' drone approached a UN patrol near Kfarkila and released a bomb, after which an 'Israeli' tank reportedly fired toward the peacekeeping forces.
UNIFIL condemned the actions, describing them as a violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and Lebanon&rsquo;s sovereignty.
The statement added that the attacks &ldquo;show disregard for the safety and security of UN peacekeepers.&rdquo;
The UN mission has called for restraint and emphasized the need to respect the safety and mandate of its personnel operating in southern Lebanon.
