Netanyahu fires 'Israel’s' National Security Adviser

'Israel’s' National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi announced on Tuesday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had dismissed him, bringing his tenure to an immediate end.

“Prime Minister Netanyahu informed me today of his intention to appoint a new head of the National Security Council,” Hanegbi said in a statement.

Hanegbi also called for a thorough investigation into the security lapses surrounding Hamas’s unprecedented operation on October 7, 2023, which triggered the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
