Journalist Ryan Grim from Drop Site News reported that both the White House and the Pentagon were quickly informed that the explosion in southern Gaza, which killed two 'Israeli' soldiers, was caused by a bulldozer operated by an 'Israeli' settler company running over unexploded ordnance, not by a Hamas tunnel attack as claimed by 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Grim reported that after Netanyahu publicly blamed Hamas fighters and ordered airstrikes while blocking aid into Gaza, the US administration swiftly conveyed to ‘Israel’ that it was aware of the true cause.

Footage circulating online appears to show 'Israeli' excavators demolishing what remains of damaged structures in Rafah, adding weight to the claim that the explosion was accidental.

Analysts say the episode reflects mounting mistrust between Washington and Tel Aviv, as US officials increasingly express frustration with the 'Israeli' government’s narratives during the Gaza aggression.

The incident also highlights the risks of operating heavy machinery in areas littered with unexploded munitions after months of intense bombardment.

Despite these reports, a senior 'Israeli' military source told Sky News that the IDF “utterly denies this version of events,” dismissing the bulldozer claim as “nonsense” and maintaining that the soldiers were killed in a Hamas attack.
