Hamas responds to US allegations of imminent Gaza civilian attack
Hamas on Sunday strongly rejected allegations from the United States claiming the group was planning an imminent attack against civilians in Gaza.
The movement called the claims “completely false” and accused 'Israel' of orchestrating violence and chaos within the territory.

In a statement, Hamas dismissed the US State Department’s Saturday assertion that it had “credible reports” of an imminent attack by the group on Palestinian civilians, which Washington said would constitute a violation of the ongoing ceasefire.
“The false allegations align entirely with misleading Israeli propaganda and provide cover for continued occupation crimes against our people,” the statement read.
Hamas said that 'Israeli' authorities had armed and funded criminal groups responsible for killings, kidnappings, and thefts in Gaza, and that these acts had been openly documented.
The movement emphasized that Gaza’s police forces, supported by civilian volunteers, were actively pursuing these criminal gangs in accordance with legal procedures to protect citizens and public property.
Hamas called on the US administration to stop repeating 'Israel’s' narrative and instead focus on curbing repeated violations of the ceasefire, particularly the support and safe havens provided to these criminal groups by 'Israeli' authorities.
The US State Department yesterday had stated that an attack on Palestinian civilians by Hamas would represent a “direct and grave violation of the ceasefire agreement” and that measures would be taken to protect civilians in Gaza should the attack proceed.
