Trump receives Ukraine's Zelenskyy at White House

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived at the White House on Friday for a pivotal meeting with US President Donald Trump, as Kyiv seeks advanced weaponry to bolster its defenses against Russia.

Zelenskyy was welcomed by Trump at the entrance, where the two briefly posed for photos before heading inside for talks. The Ukrainian leader is expected to press the US president for the delivery of long-range Tomahawk missiles capable of reaching targets deep inside Russian territory.

The meeting comes on the heels of a surprise announcement by Trump on Thursday, when he revealed plans for a new summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin
