US President Donald Trump departed Tel Aviv on Monday afternoon, heading to Egypt to attend the “Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit,” following a brief visit during which he celebrated the Gaza ceasefire.

‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu bid farewell to Trump at Ben Gurion Airport, in a scene underscoring the close alliance between the two leaders.

Trump will join Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in co-chairing the summit, which brings together leaders and representatives from more than 30 countries and international organizations.

The summit aims to formally sign the Gaza ceasefire agreement, discuss its implementation mechanisms, and outline a roadmap for the “day after.”
