Under the US president's proposed roadmap, once the Palestinian groups have handed over the living captives, ‘Israel’ will begin releasing around 2,000 detainees in exchange.
‘Israel’ expects all 20 living captives to be released to the Red Cross "early Monday morning", according to a spokesperson for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office.

He said civilians were returning to their homes and hostages were reuniting with their families. “A new and beautiful day is rising, and now the rebuilding begins,” Trump added, expressing “tremendous gratitude to the Arab and Muslim nations who helped make this incredible breakthrough possible.”

President El-Sisi, in his opening remarks, said Egypt was proud to host the summit and reaffirmed his country’s “unwavering commitment to regional peace and stability.” He called for immediate international support for reconstruction in Gaza and renewed efforts toward a lasting two-state solution.
The summit brought together leaders and senior officials from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Discussions focused on humanitarian relief, post-war reconstruction, and mechanisms to monitor and maintain the ceasefire.

He emphasized the undeniable reality on the ground, stating, “There are two peoples here, and neither is going anywhere.”
