‘Israel’ will return the last 28 Spanish activists detained from the Global Sumud Flotilla on Monday, following the release of 21 others over the weekend, Spain’s foreign minister Jose Manuel Albares confirmed.

Albares told Catalunya Radio that the remaining detainees “will leave Israel today” and added that authorities are working to ensure all return to Spain as quickly as possible.
"The forecast is that today there will no longer be any Spaniards in jail in Israel," he said, declining further details for privacy reasons.
Dozens of other international activists, including Swedish climate campaigner Greta Thunberg, are also expected to leave ‘Israel’ on Monday.
Most are expected to transit through Greece before returning to their home countries, according to statements from their governments.
The Global Sumud Flotilla sought to break ‘Israel’s’ blockade of Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid to the region, where the United Nations reports famine has taken hold after nearly two years of conflict.
The UN described the crisis as partly the result of “systematic obstruction” of aid deliveries by ‘Israel’.
‘Israeli’ forces intercepted the flotilla in international waters starting Wednesday, preventing boats carrying more than 400 people from reaching Gaza, an ‘Israeli’ official claimed.
