US President Donald Trump told Axios on Saturday that a peace deal to end the war on Gaza is "close" and that he would push to finalize it in the next few days.

Trump's push comes as he claims ‘Israel’ has agreed to his terms, marking a pivotal moment in the aggression that began nearly two years ago.

"I said, 'Bibi, this is your chance for victory.' He was fine with it," Trump told Axios’ Barak Ravid. "He's got to be fine with it. He has no choice. With me, you got to be fine."

Netanyahu Halts Offensive to Implement “Trump Plan”

According to the ‘Israeli’ military, forces have shifted to “defensive operations” in Gaza and halted airstrikes.

Netanyahu's office confirmed the decision was made to "prepare for the immediate implementation of the first phase of the Trump Plan for the immediate release of all hostages."

Trump said he warned Netanyahu that the war had "isolated Israel internationally" and vowed to get "all that support back."

Mediators Push to Finalize Deal

To finalize the deal, White House envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner traveled to Egypt on Saturday to finalize the technical details of the agreement.

Trump said he believes Hamas is ready to move forward. "Hamas went a long way — they want to do it. Now we will need to close it," Trump said.
