Jordan approves new ambassadors from US, Thailand, Mauritania, Colombia

01-10-2025 19:21|The Jordanian government has approved four new ambassadors to represent their countries at the Royal Hashemite Court.
The ambassadors are from the United States, the Kingdom of Thailand, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, and the Republic of Colombia.
The approval, or "accreditation," by the host country is a necessary step before an ambassador can officially assume their duties.

List of Accredited Ambassadors
The approvals, published in the Official Gazette on Wednesday, included the following accredited ambassadors:
- Mr. James William Holtsnider: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America.
- Mr. Taleb al-Mukhtar al-Sheikh Mohamed al-Mujtaba: Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
- Ms. Jiraborn Jirabaikul: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand.
- Mr. Edwin Octus Alfonso: Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Colombia.
The new ambassadors will begin their duties after officially presenting their credentials.
