Sailing in high-risk waters: Global Sumud Flotilla less than 90 NM from Gaza

The Global Sumud Flotilla is currently less than 90 nautical miles from Gaza, navigating through what organizers described as a “high-risk zone” following a night of intimidation tactics by the 'Israeli' military.

Despite the threats, the flotilla’s organizers said participants remained calm and followed all safety procedures. “Our resilience and commitment carried us through the darkness. Far from deterring us, these threats have only strengthened our determination to continue,” the flotilla team said in a statement.

The mission aims to break the 'Israeli' blockade, deliver humanitarian aid, and demonstrate non-violent solidarity with the people of Gaza.

Organizers confirmed that all participants are currently safe and that the flotilla has moved beyond the point where the Madleen vessel was previously intercepted, though they remain vigilant.

The flotilla continues to sail toward Gaza under heightened security risks, with international observers watching closely.
