US President Donald Trump today hosted a trilateral phone call with ‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, a statement by the White House said.

Trump expressed his desire to put ‘Israeli’-Qatari relations on a positive track after years of “mutual grievances and miscommunication”, the statement said.

‘Israel’ Expresses Regret for Strike in Qatar

Netanyahu expressed “deep regret” that an ‘Israeli’ missile strike against Hamas targets in Qatar killed a Qatari security officer.

Netanyahu also regretted that, in targeting Hamas leadership during Gaza negotiations, ‘Israel’ violated Qatari sovereignty.

He affirmed that ‘Israel’ would not conduct such an attack again, the White House continued.

In return, Qatari Prime Minister Al Thani “welcomed these assurances, emphasizing Qatar's readiness to continue contributing meaningfully to regional security and stability. Netanyahu expressed commitment to the same.”

The call also discussed a proposal for ending the war in Gaza.
