$250,000: Internet personality Ludwig raises money in fundraiser for Palestinian children
Streamer and YouTube personality Ludwig Ahgren concluded his 52-hour speedrunning charity marathon, Fast 52, raising over $250,000 for four different non-profit organizations.
The event, which took place over the weekend, saw the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) included as a key beneficiary of the proceeds.
The Fast 52 marathon was a high-intensity, continuous broadcast featuring a diverse lineup of popular content creators, speedrunners, and esports figures such as Chess Grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura.
The event generated funds through direct viewer donations and a dedicated auction that offered items such as a life-size replica of Jackie Chan's head and a signed gavel.
The final amount raised was divided among the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, along with three other organizations: No Kid Hungry, Wings for Life, and The Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF).
Ludwig cleverly took advantage of The Immune Deficiency Foundation (acronym: IDF) and joked about it to grab attention to his fundraiser, briefly fooling spectators that he is donating to the so-called Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
The stunt grabbed headlines and managed to create some extra traffic and attention for the fundraiser.
