Meta censors Bella Hadid, prevents her from posting on Palestine

Model and activist Bella Hadid has revealed that Meta has been blocking her attempts to post about Palestine on Instagram.

In a series of Instagram Stories, Hadid said that for the past two days, “anything I try to post about Palestine I keep being blocked from doing so.”

She further explained that while a standard reel would post without issue, any reel addressing the ongoing atrocities in Gaza would be automatically restricted. “Censorship at its finest,” she wrote, highlighting her frustration with the social media platform.

Hadid, known for using her platform to raise awareness about human rights issues, has previously been outspoken about the 'Israeli' genocide in Gaza and has called for international attention and action.

The model’s claims add to ongoing debates about social media companies’ moderation policies and the perceived selective censorship of content related to political conflicts, especially on the Palestinian cause.
