‘Israeli’ airstrike damages Roya office in Gaza City
The Roya News office in Gaza City was damaged last night by a massive ‘Israeli’ airstrike that destroyed a residential tower opposite it, according to Roya’s correspondent in Gaza Ghazi al-Aloul.
Al-Aloul confirmed that the damage has hindered the team’s work. This is the second time the network’s office has been affected during the nearly two-year war; its first office was completely destroyed in an ‘Israeli’ bombing in the early days of the aggression in October 2023.
The strike comes amid a dangerous and intensive escalation of bombardment by the ‘Israeli’ army on the remaining neighborhoods of Gaza City, particularly in western areas like Al-Rimal.
In recent days, ‘Israeli’ forces have issued new evacuation orders and completely destroyed several major residential towers, including the Al-Sousi, Al-Mushtaha, and Al-Roya towers, displacing thousands of families.
The recent bombing near the Roya office, opposite the Al-Sherab complex, caused direct damage and is impeding journalists' ability to continue their field coverage.
