Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) Sunday morning advanced into the towns of Saysoon and Jumla Barracks in the western countryside of Daraa, carrying out ground operations inside residential neighborhoods, Syria’s state news agency (SANA) reported.

According to SANA’s correspondent in Daraa, around 18 'Israeli' military vehicles entered between civilian homes in Saysoon, conducting raids and searches in residential areas.

Other military vehicles were deployed around the Jumla Barracks area near the separation line with the occupied Golan Heights.

The incursion coincided with 'Israeli' surveillance aircrafts flying over the area amid heightened concern and tension among residents.

Some locals reported that 'Israeli' troops carried out field interrogations during the searches.

'Israel' said it seeks to take control of the bufferzone between the two countries and aims to destroy the Syria's heavy weaponry.

Syria has condemned repeated 'Israeli' aggressions on its territory, including operations in parts of Quneitra, Daraa, and rural Damascus, stressing that they undermine efforts to restore stability and constitute a flagrant violation of international law as well as the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.

Damascus called on the international community to take a firm stance to halt such actions.

On Saturday, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa announced that talks with ‘Israel’ are underway to restore the 1974 agreement.
