Charlie Kirk killer leaves mocking notes on bullet casings
Prosecutors revealed Friday that the suspect accused of fatally shooting conservative Charlie Kirk left taunting and provocative inscriptions on some of his bullet casings.
Tyler Robinson, 22, of Utah, is charged in the killing of Kirk, who was gunned down Wednesday during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University.

According to court filings, investigators recovered several casings from the scene, with Robinson allegedly engraving phrases including:
- “Hey fascist! Catch!”
- “O bella ciao, bella ciao” - a reference to the Italian anti-fascist resistance song.
- “if you read this you are gay lmao”
The inscriptions were highlighted by prosecutors as evidence of premeditation and intent to send a political message through the attack.
Kirk, a co-founder of Turning Point USA and an influential figure in conservative politics, was pronounced dead shortly after the shooting. His killing has drawn widespread condemnation and tributes from political leaders, including US President Donald Trump, who confirmed Friday that the suspect was in custody after being turned in by a family member.
Authorities have not yet disclosed a motive, though investigators say they are examining Robinson’s background, writings, and possible ideological influences.
