Inside the attack: Netanyahu, Katz supervise assassination attempt in Doha
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz personally supervised the operation targeting Hamas leadership in the Qatari capital, Doha, ‘Israeli’ Channel 12 reported Tuesday evening.
The operation was jointly managed from two separate command centers belonging to the 'Israeli' Air Force and the Shin Bet security service, according to the channel.
- Dual command structure -
The report said the mission was directed simultaneously from two locations to ensure its success:
An Air Force operations room at the Defense Ministry headquarters, known as the “Kirya,” in Tel Aviv.
The Shin Bet’s main command center inside the occupied territories.
- High-level presence highlights importance of target -
Channel 12 noted that the Shin Bet’s command room saw an unusual level of senior attendance, with Netanyahu, Katz, and the head of the 'Israeli' Military Intelligence (Aman) present to follow the operation in real time.
The report emphasized that such high-level involvement underscored the strategic importance of the operation, which carried the approval and direct supervision of ‘Israel’s’ top political and military leadership.
