Gaza death toll rises beyond 64,200 amid ongoing 'Israeli' assault

The death toll in Gaza has climbed to at least 64,231 since 'Israel' launched its war on the enclave in October 2023, the Health Ministry in Gaza reported on Thursday.

Among the latest fatalities were three people who died of starvation.

According to the ministry, hospitals received 84 bodies and 338 wounded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of injuries to 161,583 since the start of the war.

Officials said the updated figures include 401 previously unregistered victims whose details were recently confirmed.

“Many of the dead remain under collapsed buildings and in the streets, unreachable for rescuers,” the ministry added, warning that the toll is likely to rise further.
