India's Modi meets Russia's Putin in China: Indian foreign ministry

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Russian President Vladimir Putin in China, New Delhi's foreign ministry said Monday, as they face increasing US pressure over the Ukraine war.

Modi, in a statement on social media, posted a photograph of him and Putin travelling in the same car to the meeting.

"Conversations with him are always insightful," Modi wrote on X.
