Brad Pitt, Joaquin Phoenix join film about Palestinian child killed in Gaza
Hollywood actors Brad Pitt, Joaquin Phoenix, and Rooney Mara have joined Oscar-winning directors Jonathan Glazer and Alfonso Cuarón as executive producers of The Voice of Hind Rajab, ahead of its debut at the Venice Film Festival.
Directed by Oscar-nominated Tunisian filmmaker Kaouther Ben Hania, the film dramatizes the final hours of six-year-old Palestinian child Hind Rajab, who was killed by 'Israeli' fire in January 2024 while trapped in a car with her deceased relatives in Gaza.
Competing for the prestigious Golden Lion award, The Voice of Hind Rajab is set to premiere on September 3.
The film uses real audio recordings as a central narrative element and is shot entirely in a single location, focusing on the tension, silence, and escalating fear experienced by a child left without rescue.
