47 'Israelis' stranded in Bosnia after hotel dumps their passports

Forty-seven 'Israeli' tourists have been stranded in Bosnia after their passports were allegedly discarded by hotel staff, leaving the group unable to return home.

The travelers, who were scheduled to fly back to 'Israel' on Saturday, discovered that their passports had been reportedly thrown by mistake into a trash bin at the hotel’s reception desk.

Security footage reportedly confirmed the documents were placed in the garbage before being taken away by sanitation workers to a landfill site.

“We’ve been forced to stay at the hotel for another 48 hours, maybe longer,” several tourists told Ynet. “We fear we could be stuck here for more than a week.”

While authorities described the incident as accidental, some travelers voiced suspicion that it may not have been a simple mistake.

“This is very strange,” one tourist said. “How can someone throw away passports? We suspect the passports were discarded because they carried the Israeli emblem. We demand a clear explanation.”

'Israeli' Foreign Ministry and the embassy in Belgrade are working with local authorities to resolve the situation and issue replacement documents.
