Jordan condemns Netanyahu’s “Greater Israel” remarks as dangerous escalation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent statements referring to the so-called “Greater Israel vision,” describing them as a serious provocative escalation, a threat to the sovereignty of nations, and a violation of international law and the UN Charter.
Spokesperson Ambassador Dr. Sufian Al-Qudah affirmed Jordan’s absolute rejection of these incendiary remarks, stressing that the “absurd illusions” reflected in statements by 'Israeli' officials will neither undermine Jordan nor Arab states nor diminish the legitimate, inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.
He noted that these remarks and practices reflect the 'Israeli' government’s dire situation and its growing international isolation amid ongoing aggression against Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
Al-Qudah added that such claims and illusions, promoted by extremists within the 'Israeli' government, fuel cycles of violence and conflict, calling for a clear international stance to condemn them, warn of their severe consequences on regional security and stability, and hold those responsible accountable.
