In its remarks, the embassy described the incident as “a cowardly act” and linked it to what it called “the dangerous consequences of increasing hate and provocation.” The statement stressed that diplomats should be able to perform their duties “safely and unhindered at all times.”
Dutch police confirmed that suspects have been taken into custody. No further details on the number of people arrested or their identities have been released.
This attack is part of a recent pattern of increased targeting of 'Israeli' embassies and buildings associated with 'Israeli' interests worldwide. Activists and protesters have intensified demonstrations in response to the ongoing war on Gaza, where widespread international criticism and allegations of war crimes have escalated tensions globally.
