"Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is pushing for a “decisive military victory” in Gaza amid mounting domestic pressure and stalled ceasefire negotiations, according to a diplomatic source quoted Sunday by Hebrew media.

The unnamed source said an “understanding is forming that Hamas is not interested in a deal,” leading Netanyahu to prioritize military action over ongoing negotiations.

The strategy, according to the source, includes continued combat operations alongside the delivery of humanitarian aid to areas outside Hamas control and active fighting zones. No further details were given on how this plan would be executed.

The comments come as families of captives publicly criticized Netanyahu’s approach following the release of harrowing footage of two captives. In a recent video statement, Netanyahu appeared to dismiss any imminent progress on a ceasefire-captive exchange, fueling anger among relatives.

Over the weekend, tens of thousands of protesters filled the streets of Tel Aviv demanding an end to the war and the return of captives.

The rising domestic outrage adds pressure on Netanyahu’s government over the war in Gaza.
