His Majesty King Abdullah II, during a joint press conference with the German Chancellor, said that Jordan and Germany enjoy a deep and enduring partnership that is rooted in shared values, mutual respect, and robust cooperation across political, economic, and humanitarian spheres.

“Israel’s war on Gaza must stop. The unfolding humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza has reached unspeakable levels,” His Majesty said.

“Aid cannot be politicised. The targeting of starving civilians gathered to receive aid is unconscionable,” the King added.

“We reiterate our calls for an immediate and lasting ceasefire, full respect for international humanitarian law, and unimpeded access for humanitarian assistance to all parts of Gaza,” he continued.

His Majesty emphasized that Jordan has led regional efforts by dispatching and coordinating aid convoys to Gaza, providing extensive medical support, and facilitating safe passage for the injured.

"We must all work together to push for an end to the war and escalations, in order to create a political horizon to pave the way to just and comprehensive peace on the basis of the two-state solution"

On Syria, the King said that Syria’s stability is vital to the region, and that Sustained international support is essential to prevent a return to conflict, and to empower Syrians to rebuild a nation that ensures security, stability and prosperity for its diverse society

For his part, Merz said that Germany, France and Britain are considering sending their foreign ministers to “Israel” next week, as international pressure mounts over Gaza's dire humanitarian crisis.

"We will probably ask the three foreign ministers of France, the United Kingdom and Germany to travel to Israel together next Thursday to present the position of ... the three governments," Merz told reporters.
