Gaza officials warn of ‘mass slaughter’ of children
Gaza's government media office warned Saturday of an "impending mass slaughter" that could affect more than 100,000 children within days if infant formula is not immediately allowed into the besieged territory.
In an urgent statement, the office noted that hospitals in the strip are daily recording hundreds of life-threatening malnutrition cases amid severe shortages of food and medicine. This comes as crossings remain closed, preventing the entry of humanitarian supplies.
The office demanded the immediate and unconditional opening of Gaza's crossings and a "complete breaking of the criminal blockade."
It called on the international community to take urgent action to stop the "slow mass slaughter" facing Gaza residents, especially children.
This warning comes as the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza worsens due to the ongoing ‘Israeli’ aggression and the continued prevention of aid entry, amidst widespread international silence.
