Trump shrugs off Macron’s stance on Palestine: “What he says doesn’t matter”

US President Donald Trump on Friday dismissed the decision by France's Emmanuel Macron to recognize a Palestinian state as pointless.

When asked by reporters about Macron's decision to formally recognize the State of Palestine, Trump dismissed it by saying: "Here’s the good news, what he [Macron] says doesn’t matter."

"He's a very good guy, I like him, but that statement doesn't carry weight," Trump added.
