Palestinian group Hamas said Friday that after failing to free its captives through military force, "Israel" is now compelled to negotiate under the resistance’s terms that prioritize the national and humanitarian rights of the Palestinian people, including lifting the blockade and ending the policy of collective starvation.

Hamas stated that the “Israeli” military campaign in Gaza is a reflection of its repeated failures, asserting that “the occupation continues to accumulate setbacks on all fronts.”

The group added that the current war will be remembered as a strategic turning point in the Palestinian struggle, one that exposes the fragility of the “Israeli” entity and highlights "its crimes of killing, starvation, and genocide."

Hamas also said that the Palestinian resistance continues to unsettle “Israeli” military strategy through steadfastness and evolving tactics, which, according to the statement, surprise its enemy daily and prevent it from regaining control, despite ongoing efforts to subdue Palestinians through siege and hunger.

The group emphasized that the famine conditions in Gaza, created by the ongoing blockade, amount to a crime against humanity, accusing “Israel” of weaponizing food to break the will of the besieged population.

Hamas called for urgent international intervention to stop what it described as a deliberate starvation campaign and to save hundreds of thousands of hungry and trapped civilians in Gaza.
