16-07-2025 10:02|The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said Wednesday it established a new corridor in south Gaza, splitting east and west Khan Younis.
It was established by the IOF’s 36th division and dubbed “Magen Oz”.
The corridor also connects to the recently established Morag Corridor, which separates Khan Younis from Rafah, according to a graphic published by the “Israeli” military.
It is 15 kilometers long, and is a “a major part in exerting pressure on Hamas and defeating the Khan Younis Brigade,” the army claimed in a statement.
Following the Netzarim, Philadelphi, and Morag corridors, the Magen Oz is seen as a new point of leverage to be used in the stalled Gaza truce talks with Hamas.
