Over 700 killed in Gaza while waiting for water
Gaza’s government media office has reported that more than 700 Palestinians have been killed in 'Israeli' strikes targeting locations where residents were gathering to fill water containers.
In an official statement, the office described these attacks as part of what it called a “systematic thirst war,” claiming that over 100 water collection points have been hit and 720 wells intentionally destroyed, cutting off clean water access for more than 1.25 million people.
The statement also accused 'Israel' of blocking the entry of 12 million litres of fuel each month, the minimum needed to operate essential infrastructure, including water wells, sewage facilities, and waste management services.
This fuel restriction, the office said, has led to the near-collapse of Gaza’s water and sanitation systems and has contributed to the spread of disease, particularly among children.
