'Israel' is reportedly planning to establish a substantial displacement camp near the southern Gaza city of Rafah, intended to house hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.

This initiative comes as 'Israel' indicates its intent to maintain a significant military presence in the area, according to a report by 'Israeli' Channel 12.

The 'Israeli' broadcaster, cited by news outlets, states that 'Israel' insists on retaining its military forces approximately 2-3 kilometers north of the Philadelphi Corridor, which runs along Gaza's border with Egypt. This strategic positioning is part of broader preparations for the planned civilian complex.

Furthermore, 'Israel' is said to have presented an updated map for a partial withdrawal from other parts of Gaza. This new proposal includes a pullback from the Morag Corridor, an area separating Khan Younis from Rafah. However, 'Israel' reportedly aims to maintain full operational control over Rafah itself. The Morag Corridor has been a point of contention in ceasefire negotiations, with 'Israel' having previously established it as a fortified military zone.

Despite months of extensive ground offensives, 'Israeli' military officials, as cited by Channel 12, acknowledge persistent challenges. An 'Israeli' military officer reportedly admitted that Hamas fighters are still "operating relatively quickly" and possess the "capability of regaining strength." These statements indicate that 'Israeli' forces continue to face significant resistance. The reports also suggest that Hamas has "shown resilience," and 'Israel' has, to date, "failed" to establish complete control over the Gaza Strip.

The comprehensive plan to construct a large displacement camp in the Rafah area, coupled with 'Israel's' insistence on maintaining a military foothold near the key Philadelphi and Morag corridors, underscores the complex and evolving dynamics of the war in Gaza.
