The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said that the country will be impacted by a hot air mass beginning Friday, June 27, 2025, leading to a gradual rise in temperatures.

Hot weather is expected across most regions, with very hot conditions anticipated in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Peak Heat Expected

Temperatures are forecast to rise significantly, reaching 4 to 5°C above seasonal averages. Hot conditions will prevail across most areas, turning extremely hot in the desert regions, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Northwesterly moderate winds will pick up at times. Nighttime conditions will remain mild in most areas but relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Sunday and Monday

The hot air mass is expected to gradually recede, with temperatures dropping slightly but remaining above average. The weather will be relatively hot in most areas and hot in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Winds may become active at times, particularly in desert regions, potentially reducing horizontal visibility due to dust.

Tuesday and Wednesday

Temperatures are expected to return to seasonal norms, with typical summer weather prevailing across the Kingdom. Overall, stable weather conditions are forecast.

Weather Warnings:

  • Avoid direct sun exposure for extended periods, especially during peak noon hours.
  • Blowing dust may reduce visibility in desert areas, particularly on Sunday and Monday.
