Thousands rally in Tehran after Friday prayers to denounce 'Israeli' attacks
Thousands of Iranians took to the streets of Tehran on Friday following weekly prayers, protesting against 'Israeli' attacks on their country and expressing support for their leadership, according to footage aired by state television.
"This is a Friday of solidarity and resistance for the Iranian nation across the country," the news anchor declared during the broadcast.
Televised images showed demonstrators waving Iranian and Hezbollah flags, and holding up pictures of Iranian commanders killed since the start of the conflict with 'Israel'.
One protester carried a sign that read, "I sacrifice my life for the Supreme Leader," in reference to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Similar rallies were reported in other major cities, including Tabriz in the northwest and Shiraz in the south, according to state media.
