Captain Haitham Misto, Chief Commissioner of Jordan’s Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), confirmed to Roya News that there is currently no set time for reopening the kingdom’s airspace, and current conditions do not indicate a likely reopening tonight.

Misto emphasized that CARC continues to conduct round-the-clock security assessments to determine whether to reopen or extend the closure of Jordan's airspace, which was suspended due to escalating regional tensions.

"Daytime evaluations are conducted every four hours, while nighttime assessments occur every six hours," Misto said, noting that airlines are given at least two hours' notice before any expected reopening, allowing them to adjust schedules and inform passengers accordingly.

CARC is issuing regular updates to airlines regarding any potential changes, ensuring the highest levels of safety and efficiency in managing air traffic.

Misto stressed that the regional situation still requires caution, saying: “There are no signs of de-escalation at this point,” making continued monitoring and evaluation essential.

The decision underscores Jordan’s commitment to maintaining airspace safety and protecting passengers amid the current regional instability.
