“Israel's” military said early Sunday it had struck Iran's defence ministry headquarters, "nuclear weapons project" infrastructure sites and other targets, as the rival nations exchanged fire for a third day.

The “Israeli” military said at around 2:40 AM (23:40 GMT Saturday) that its air force had just "completed an extensive series of intelligence-based strikes on a number of targets in Tehran related to the Iranian regime's nuclear weapons project", as well as on fuel tankers.

"The targets included the Iranian Ministry of Defense headquarters, the headquarters of the SPND (Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research) nuclear project, and additional targets" which “Israel” claimed advanced Iran's efforts to obtain a nuclear weapon.

Authorities sounded sirens Sunday morning to signal –again– the end of the heightened alert period in Jordan following the second wave of Iranians missiles that hit “Israel”.

Hebrew media reported early Sunday that six sites in Tel Aviv were directly struck by Iranian missiles in overnight attacks.

One of the reports indicated that a high-rise building in a major city within the Tel Aviv metropolitan area sustained a powerful direct hit.

Additional reports confirmed casualties in Rehovot, while at least 12 injuries were recorded in Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv, amid widespread panic and chaos among residents.

Four of those are critically injured.

Massive explosions were seen in Tel Aviv, as “Israeli” air defenses are currently grappling with a combined missile and drone attack from Iran.

Alert sirens have been activated in Jordan, after Iran launched a second wave of missiles and drones against “Israel”.

Iran fired a fresh barrage of missiles at “Israel”, state television announced early Sunday, as the rivals exchanged fire for a third day.

"A new wave of Operation Honest Promise 3 began a few minutes ago," Iranian state TV reported at around 03:10 am (2340 GMT Saturday), while broadcasting live images of “Israel”.

Air raid sirens have activated in Tel Aviv, after the “Israeli” military said it detected a second wave of Iranian missiles launched from the country towards “Israel”.

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said it identified Iranian missiles recently launched towards “Israel”

It called upon “Israelis” to enter the shelters and remain there until further notice. 

Iran's Revolutionary Guards said early Sunday that the country had struck sites used by “Israeli” warplanes for refueling, as the two rival states bombarded each other for a second day.

"Installations producing fuel for fighter planes and the (Israeli) regime's energy supply centres were targeted by a multitude of drones and missiles," the Guards said in a statement.

"The Iranian armed forces' offensive operations will continue more fiercely and more broadly if the depravity and attacks (against Iran) continue."

Iranian news agency Tasnim reported early Sunday that an “Israeli” strike had targeted the country's defence ministry headquarters in Tehran and damaged one of its buildings.

In "an attack on Tehran this evening by the air force of the Zionist regime, the headquarters of the defence ministry was targeted. One of the headquarters' buildings was lightly damaged," the agency said.

Four “Israelis” were killed and at least 14 wounded in the Iranian missile barrage, according to the latest toll by Magen David Adom.

Out of 14 injured, one is in critical condition currently in Rambam Hospital.

The Public Security Directorate on Saturday denied circulating claims of a missile strike in Amman, specifically the area of the “7th circle” 

Oddly, the footage turned out to be one of a burning couch, but as it happened in tandem with the strikes, people flocked and falsely believed it was fire caused by Iranian missiles. 

In a statement received by Roya, the directorate said it will take legal action against those responsible for publishing it.

Royal Jordanian Airlines announced the rerouting of incoming flights to alternative destinations following the suspension of flights in Jordanian airspace by the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC).

The airline stated that the rerouting of flights aims to ensure the safety of flight operations and passengers.

Royal Jordanian urged travelers to check their flight status and latest updates via the airline’s website and mobile app.

“Israeli” strikes hit two fuel depots in Tehran, the Iranian oil ministry said Sunday, shortly after Iran announced the launch of a new wave of strikes against Israel.

According to the oil ministry, the oil depots at Shahran northwest of Tehran and another reservoir south of the city were hit.

The depot at Shahran is on fire.

“Israel's” emergency services said Saturday that an Iranian missile hit on the Haifa region left 14 people injured, including one in a critical condition.

"Teams have reported 14 casualties at a two-storey home in the Western Galilee, including one in critical condition and the rest with varying levels of injury," Magen David Adom agency said in a statement.

The Public Security Directorate sounded sirens Saturday to signal the end of the heightened alert period in Jordan following the Iranian missile launch. 

A spokesperson for the directorate said, “Dear citizens, we announce the end of the alert period. We wish everyone safety and urge you to continue following official instructions as they are issued.”

Iron Dome attempts to intercept Iranian missiles over “Israeli” skies

The “Israeli” military said Saturday citizens were permitted to leave shelters where they had been told to take refuge after Iran launched a new barrage of missiles towards “Israel”.

"Following the situational assessment, the Home Front Command published that it is now permitted to leave protected spaces in all areas across the country and to remain near them," the military said in a statement.

“Israel's” firefighting service said Saturday that residential buildings were hit and a fire started in the country's coastal and northern districts after Iran launched a new barrage of missiles.

"Several incidents have been reported to the Israel Fire and Rescue Services command centres in the Coastal and Northern Districts, with hits on residential buildings and a fire in an open area", the Fire and Rescue Services spokesman Tal Volbovitz said in a statement.

Iran announced on Saturday it was launching a fresh wave of missiles towards “Israel” in retaliation against Israeli attacks.

"A new wave in Operation Honest Promise 3 has begun," state television said, referring to strikes launched by Iran against “Israel” last year.

The “Israeli” military said Saturday that it is carrying out air strikes in Tehran while simultaneously working to intercept missiles launched from Iran toward Israel.

"While the (Israeli military) is operating to intercept missiles launched from Iran, the (Israeli air force) is currently striking military targets in Tehran," the military said, adding that sirens sounded in several areas across “Israel”.

The “Israeli” military said it detected missiles launched from Iran just now. 

US President Donald Trump said he and Russian President Vladimir Putin had agreed in a phone call on Saturday that the conflict between “Israel” and Iran "should end."

"He feels, as do I, this war in Israel-Iran should end, to which I explained, his war should also end," Trump said on Truth Social, referring to Russia and Ukraine's conflict.

Iranian media said air defences were activated Saturday over Tehran and six other provinces, on the second day of “Israel's” air campaign against the Islamic republic.

News agency Tasnim said air defences were responding to "hostile targets" over Tehran and in the provinces of Hormozgan in the country's south, Kermanshah and Lorestan in the west, Qom in the centre, East Azerbaijan in the northwest, and Khuzestan in the southwest. State TV reported air defence activity in the same areas.

Another news agency, Fars, shared images of what it said was the "destruction of two Israeli aircraft in Tehran".

The “Israeli” military said it struck an underground facility Saturday in western Iran's Khorramabad that contained surface-to-surface and cruise missiles.

"This is an important site that was even featured in a propaganda video by the Iranian regime in the past," military spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin told journalists, referring to footage aired by Iran's Revolutionary Guards earlier this year showing what it described as a new underground missile facility.

Ali Shamkhani, a top advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, was said Saturday to be killed in an “Israeli” airstrike on Friday that targeted a "sensitive military center” in Western Iran, according to Iranian media. 

Shamkhani was Iran’s defense minister between 1997 and 2005, and the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council from 2013 to 2023.

Iran will launch “heavy and destructive” strikes on “Israel” within the next hours, according to the Iranian state TV cited by Reuters. 

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Saturday that Tehran would not attend nuclear talks with the United States so long as “Israel” kept up its attacks on the Islamic republic.

In a call with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, Pezeshkian said Iran favoured diplomacy, but will not "accept irrational demands under pressure or... sit at the negotiating table while the Zionist regime continues its attacks", according to a readout shared by the Iranian presidency.

Macron said in a statement of his own that he had asked Pezeshkian to "return swiftly to the negotiating table".

Iranian state television said air defences were activated Saturday to respond to a drone attack at the strategic port of Bandar Abbas on the second day of “Israel's” strikes on the country.

"The air defence of Bandar Abbas was activated to combat micro-drones," state TV reported without elaborating. 

Citing an air defence commander, it also said that "over the past hour, 10 hostile Israeli aircraft were shot down in different areas" of the country.

Britain is deploying assets to the Middle East amid tensions between Iran and “Israel”, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Saturday as he flew to Canada for G7 talks.

"We are moving assets to the region, including jets, and that is for contingency support," Starmer told reporters travelling with him on his plane.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Saturday that Israel's air strikes on Iran had the "clear support" of US President Donald Trump.

"Our enemy is your enemy... We're dealing with something that will threaten all of us sooner or later. Our victory will be your victory," Netanyahu said in a video statement addressed to Trump on the US leader's birthday.

"This is what Israel is doing with the support, the clear support of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, and the American people and many others in the world."

Iranian media reported a "massive explosion" on Saturday following an “Israeli” drone strike on the South Pars refinery in the southern port city of Kangan.

"An hour ago, an Israeli drone hit one of the South Pars Phase 14 refineries, causing a massive explosion and fire in the refinery," the Tasnim news agency said, while the Fars agency reported firefighters were working to extinguish a blaze that had erupted as a result of the attack.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned on Saturday that there would be a "more severe and powerful response" if “Israel” continued to strike his country.

"The continuation of Zionist aggression will be met with a more severe and powerful response from the Iranian armed forces," Pezeshkian said in a phone call with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, according to the Iranian presidency.

The United States still wants to meet with Iran, an official said Saturday, after Tehran said a meeting would be meaningless while US ally “Israel” is bombing the Islamic republic.

"We still hope to have talks," a US official told AFP on condition of anonymity.

“Israel's” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened on Saturday to strike "every target of the ayatollah regime" in Iran, adding that “Israeli” strikes had dealt a "real blow" to Tehran's nuclear programme.

"We will hit every site, every target of the ayatollah regime," Netanyahu said in a video statement on the second day of “Israel's” air campaign targeting Iranian military and nuclear sites. 

"We have dealt a real blow to their nuclear programme" since Friday, the prime minister added.

Iranian media reported a police chief and another officer were killed in drone strike Saturday, about 300 kilometres (186 miles) west of Tehran, as “Israel” kept up its air aggression against the Islamic republic for a second day.

"This morning police chief Major Habibollah Akbarian, along with second lieutenant Amir Hossein Seifi, were martyred by a drone strike in Asadabad city in the western province of Hamedan," the ISNA press agency reported.

The “Israeli” military said Saturday that its ongoing air campaign in Iran had now given it the required "aerial freedom" for actions from west Iran to Tehran, where 70 fighter jets carried out strikes overnight.

"We have created aerial freedom of action from west Iran all the way to Tehran... Tehran is no longer immune," military spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin told journalists, adding that the air force "launched a massive strike involving more than 70 fighter jets, targeting objectives in Tehran" overnight.

“Israel's” military on Saturday said it was "currently" launching attacks on several sites across Iran as it kept up its campaign targeting the Islamic republic's military and nuclear sites.

The Iranian foreign ministry on Saturday said it would be "meaningless" to join nuclear negotiations with the United States in Oman while Iran is under attack by “Israel”.

"It is obvious that in such circumstances and until the Zionist regime's aggression against the Iranian nation stops, it would be meaningless to participate in dialogue with a party that is the biggest supporter and accomplice of the aggressor," the ministry's spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said in a statement ahead of the talks that were planned for Sunday.

Iran’s military claimed Saturday that its air defense forces had targeted and downed an “Israeli” F-35 fighter jet in western Iran.

In a statement, the Iranian army said the pilot managed to eject before the aircraft crashed.

The incident occurred, according to the military, in response to violations of Iranian airspace.

An Iranian missile strike wounded seven soldiers in central “Israel” overnight, a military spokesperson said Saturday, one of several barrages launched in response to “Israel's” attack on military and nuclear sites.

'Israel' has killed three more Iranian nuclear scientists, state television reported Saturday, bringing to nine the overall number slain in 'Israel's' attack on Iran.

"Three of the country's nuclear scientists -- Ali Bekaei Karimi, Mansour Asgari, and Saeed Borji -- were martyred during the Zionist regime's terrorist attacks," the broadcaster said. Iranian media had said earlier that six others were killed in the Israeli attack.

'Israel's' Ben Gurion international airport is closed until further notice, a spokeswoman said on Saturday, as 'Israel' and Iran traded fire for a second day.

"There is no date or day set to reopen the airport," airport spokeswoman Lisa Diver told AFP.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) raised alarm over Israeli Occupation's strikes targeting nuclear facilities in Iran, warning of the potential regional and global consequences such attacks could trigger.

The Agency is currently in direct communication with both Iranian and 'Israeli' authorities and maintains contact with its inspectors on the ground. "The safety of our staff is of paramount importance," Grossi stated, noting that precautionary steps are being taken to ensure their protection.

Grossi also expressed his willingness to travel to the region at the earliest opportunity to assess the situation firsthand and ensure the safety and security of nuclear installations.

The Director General concluded his remarks by reaffirming the IAEA's commitment to its mandate and calling for "maximum restraint" from all parties involved. "Despite the current military actions and heightened tensions, it is clear that the only sustainable path forward, for Iran, for Israel, the entire region, and the international community, is one grounded in dialogue and diplomacy," he said.

French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday addressed growing concerns over the potential for broader conflict in the Middle East following a major 'Israeli' strike on Iranian territory.

Speaking after an emergency meeting of France’s National Defence and Security Council, Macron said 'Israel' was within its rights to protect itself but warned that further escalation must be avoided.

“France reaffirms Israel's right to defend itself and ensure its security,” Macron posted in English on X. “To avoid jeopardising the stability of the entire region, I call on all parties to exercise maximum restraint and to de-escalate.”

US President Donald Trump said on Truth Social that he had given Iran a 60-day ultimatum to strike a deal, which allegedly expired yesterday.

"They should have done it!" he wrote. "Today is day 61."

Trump added that while Iran failed to meet his demands, it now has "perhaps, a second chance," hinting at a possible opportunity to avoid further escalation following the recent 'Israeli' strikes on Iranian targets.

His Majesty King Abdullah II, in a call he received from France President Emmanuel Macron on Friday, stressed the need to take immediate and urgent action to end the dangerous escalation in the region.

His Majesty warned of the repercussions of such an escalation, which threatens to plunge the region into further tensions and expand the conflict.

The King urged stepping up action to ensure stability in the region and protect its peoples, warning of the ramifications of the 'Israeli' attack on Iran on regional security.

His Majesty stressed that Jordan will not be a battleground for any conflict, and will not allow any threats to its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens.

Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi held a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Abbas Araghchi on Thursday, during which he strongly condemned the 'Israeli' aggression against Iran, calling it a dangerous escalation and a violation of international law.

According to an official readout, Safadi reiterated Jordan’s firm rejection of the attack, describing it as a “serious breach of Iran’s sovereignty” and warning that such provocations risk dragging the region into a broader conflict. He also stressed the need for collective efforts to de-escalate tensions and prevent the region from sliding into “a new regional war that threatens both regional and global peace.”

The Iranian foreign minister, for his part, thanked Jordan for its “clear and principled stance” in condemning the 'Israeli' strikes and for rejecting any further escalation that could destabilize the region.

Safadi emphasized that while Jordan continues to condemn 'Israeli' aggression and advocate for calm, it will not tolerate any violation of its own sovereignty or threats to the safety of its citizens. He made it clear that Jordan “will not be a battlefield for any party” and will respond decisively to any breach of its airspace, whether by 'Israel' or Iran.

“This is a firm and longstanding Jordanian position,” Safadi added, “and both Israel and Iran are fully aware of it.”

The Jordanian foreign minister also stressed that de-escalation can only be achieved by addressing the root causes of conflict in accordance with international law. He reiterated Jordan’s position that lasting security in the region depends on upholding the sovereignty of all states and ensuring the legitimate rights of peoples, especially the Palestinian people’s right to freedom, security, and an independent state on their own land.

A military source stated that Royal Jordanian Air Force planes are currently conducting intensive patrols and air sorties along the border areas.

These operations aim to monitor the skies and detect any attempts to breach Jordanian airspace by any party, in order to preserve the kingdom’s sovereignty and ensure the safety of its citizens.

Iranian state television reported a renewed ‘Israeli’ airstrike on the Natanz nuclear facility Friday evening, marking the second attack on the site within hours.

Tasnim News Agency reported that several areas in the city of Tabriz, located in northwestern Iran, were hit. Hebrew Channel 12 confirmed that the Tabriz airport was completely destroyed in the strikes.

Simultaneously, the southern city of Shiraz was also targeted. Iranian media reported fresh airstrikes in the city, while Channel 12 stated that a missile production facility was destroyed.

Iran’s Nour News confirmed that Shiraz had indeed come under ‘Israeli’ aerial assault in what is being described as an unprecedented escalation deep inside Iranian territory.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei moved quickly to fill top military posts on Friday following a deadly 'Israeli' airstrike that claimed the lives of several senior commanders.

Safadi reiterated Jordan’s long-standing position that de-escalation must start with halting the war on Gaza and committing to a two-state solution.
