Iran said it destroyed strategic targets in “Israel” overnight using drones, as intense strikes between the arch-foes raged for a fifth day on Tuesday.

"Various types of destructive drones, equipped with precise destruction and targeting capabilities, destroyed strategic positions of the Zionist regime in Tel Aviv and Haifa," General Kioumars Heidari, commander of the army's ground forces, was quoted as saying by state television.

The “Israeli” military claimed Tuesday it killed Major General Ali Shadmani, a senior Iranian general, in an airstrike yesterday.

Shadmani is the head of Khatam-al Anbiya Construction Headquarters, which is Iran’s military emergency command.

He is also considered as Iran’s most senior military commander, after the country announced several high-profile commanders dead due to “Israel” attacks.

Shadmani replaced Gholam Rashid as Khatam-al Anbiya commander four days ago, as announced by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei,

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) claimed in a statement that he is the “war chief of staff” and the closest military figure to Khamenei – after the death of other senior commanders.

Two explosions were heard on Tuesday in Iran's northwestern city of Tabriz, local media reported as Iran and “Israel” trade fire for a fifth day.

"Two explosions occurred in Tabriz five minutes apart," the Ham Mihan newspaper reported.

"Thick smoke was seen around Tabriz Tuesday morning after the explosion," Mehr news agency reported, publishing a video from the city, which lies more than 600 kilometres (375 miles) from Tehran and is home to a major air force base targeted by Israel in recent days.

US President Donald Trump said his early departure from the G7 summit in Canada on Monday had "nothing to do" with a possible ceasefire between “Israel” and Iran, adding that France's leader had been "wrong" to suggest otherwise.

"Publicity seeking President Emmanuel Macron, of France, mistakenly said that I left the G7 Summit, in Canada, to go back to D.C. to work on a 'cease fire' between Israel and Iran," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

"Wrong! He has no idea why I am now on my way to Washington, but it certainly has nothing to do with a Cease Fire. Much bigger than that. Whether purposely or not, Emmanuel always gets it wrong. Stay Tuned!"

Macron had suggested that the United States was ready to make a diplomatic overture to Iran.

"There was an offer made for a meeting and an exchange," Macron told reporters on the sidelines of the G7 summit.

"If the United States can obtain a ceasefire, it is a very good thing," the French president said.

Trump departed the G7 gathering a day early, as US ally “Israel” and Iran traded fire for a fifth straight day.

The leaders of industrial democracies on Monday called for "de-escalation" in the Middle East starting with the “Israel”-Iran conflict, stressing that Israel "has a right to defend itself" and that civilians needed to be protected on both sides.

At a group photo with fellow G7 leaders before his departure, Trump said: "I have to be back as soon as I can. I wish I could stay for tomorrow, but they understand, this is big stuff."

Five people were injured Tuesday morning in “Israel”, after a fresh barrage of Iranian missiles which triggered sirens in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, according to the “Israeli” rescue service.

Loud booms were heard over Tel Aviv and Jerusalem on Tuesday, after air raid sirens sounded in several parts of “Israel” and the military warned of incoming Iranian missiles.

"A short while ago, sirens sounded in several areas across Israel following the identification of missiles launched from Iran toward the State of Israel," the military said in a statement, adding that the air force was "operating to intercept and strike where necessary to eliminate the threat."

Hebrew outlet Israel Hayom reported that 'Israeli' attacks were carried out on the Iranian cities of Natanz and Ahvaz. 

Iranian air defenses were activated to intercept the attacks.

US President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Monday with a stark message amid intensifying conflict between Iran and 'Israel', declaring that “Iran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign,” and calling the situation a “waste of human life.”

In the same post, Trump reiterated, “Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again!” He ended the post with a dramatic appeal, saying, “Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!”

The post comes at a time of heightened regional tension, as airstrikes and retaliatory attacks continue between Iran and Israel.

Hebrew channel Kan reported that around 1,500 homes and apartments were damaged in just four days of fighting between Iran and 'Israel', noting that the destruction far exceeds what was seen during 619 days of fighting in Gaza.

The damages, described as severe, go beyond loss of life and include significant property destruction. The cost of damage on Saturday alone was estimated in the hundreds of millions of shekels, with Sunday pushing the total beyond 1 billion shekels.

Senior economic officials now expect the initial phase of the war with Iran to cost around 10 billion shekels, especially if vital infrastructure and strategic sites come under attack.

The report also warned that "Israel’s" Property Tax Fund, once a critical financial backup during emergencies, now holds only 9.5 billion shekels as reserves have been gradually depleted since the conflict began.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced it launched ballistic missiles targeting the base responsible for the recent strike on Iranian state television headquarters.

Iranian media said that a hospital in the country's west suffered serious damage after an “Israeli” strike in the area on Monday.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility Monday for a powerful overnight missile barrage that reportedly caused 'Israel’s' Iron Dome and other layered air defense systems to malfunction — forcing them to intercept their own missiles.

According to the IRGC, newly developed tactics and enhanced equipment overwhelmed 'Israeli' defenses in what was described as the eighth and most devastating wave of retaliation since hostilities began on Friday.

"The enemy's multi-layered defense systems were disrupted in such a way that the regime's defense systems targeted each other," the IRGC said. It added that Iran’s advances in intelligence and targeting technology allowed its missiles to bypass Israeli and Western-backed systems, striking intended targets with “maximum effect.”

Iran said the operation fulfilled promises made by fallen military commanders and proved that “the calculations and assessments of the Zionist enemy and the Americans against Islamic Iran were completely wrong.” The IRGC vowed to continue “effective, targeted and more devastating” strikes until the “complete destruction” of what it called the “fake regime.”

The overnight strikes killed and wounded dozens. In 'Israel', at least eight people were reported dead, including three in the northern city of Haifa, after explosions rocked the area around an oil refinery, setting infrastructure on fire. Four others were killed in Petah Tikva and one in Bnei Brak, bringing Israel’s death toll to 23 since Friday, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.

'Israel’s' response included a drone strike in Tehran on Sunday, which hit a student dormitory on Keshavarz Boulevard and injured at least 20 people, according to Iranian state TV. One of the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s buildings was also damaged, according to the country’s deputy foreign minister.

This amounts to one-third of the surface-to-surface missile launchers possessed by the Iranian regime," military spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin said in a televised statement.

China urged Iran and “Israel” to "immediately" take steps to reduce tensions on Monday, after Tehran unleashed a barrage of missile strikes on “Israel” and the latter struck military targets deep inside Iran.

"We urge all parties to immediately take measures to cool down the tensions, prevent the region from falling into greater turmoil, and create conditions for returning to the right track of resolving issues through dialogue and negotiations," Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said.

“Israel's” military said on Monday it struck command centres in Tehran belonging to Iran's Quds Force, the foreign operations arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The “Israeli” air force "struck command centres belonging to the Quds Force of the IRGC and the Iranian military, with precise direction from the (Israeli military) Intelligence Directorate," an army statement said, specifying the targets were located in the Iranian capital.

Iran vowed Monday to carry out more "devastating" operations against “Israeli” targets as Tehran struck its arch-foe with a barrage of missiles.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards, in a statement quoted by the official IRNA news agency, warned that "effective, targeted and more devastating operations against the vital targets will continue until [Israel’s] complete destruction".

The Iranian president on Monday urged all citizens to put aside differences and unite against “Israel” as conflict rages between the two arch-foes.

"Every difference, issue, and problem that has existed must be put aside today and we must stand strong against this genocidal criminal aggression with unity and coherence," Masoud Pezeshkian said, addressing parliament.

“Israel's” Magen David Adom emergency service said five people were killed and 92 wounded Monday in Iran's latest missile strikes, raising a previous toll of four deaths.

The casualties were from strikes on four sites in central “Israel”, the MDA said in a statement, adding those killed included "two women and two men around the age of 70, as well as one additional fatality".

"So far, MDA teams have evacuated 92 injured individuals to hospitals, including a 30-year-old woman in serious condition with facial injuries, six in moderate condition, and 85 in mild condition," it added.

The MDA said search and rescue operations were ongoing at two of the four sites.

'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his forces successfully eliminated the intelligence chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), asserting that the operation is part of a series of strikes aimed at undermining Iran’s nuclear program and dismantling what he described as the “Iranian axis.”

In an interview with Fox News, Netanyahu stated that the recent 'Israeli' attack had “significantly” set back Iran’s nuclear program. “I believe Iran was completely surprised by our attack, and surprise is a great element of success,” he added.

Netanyahu revealed that 'Israeli' intelligence had detected Iranian attempts to transfer nuclear weapons to the Houthis, which he described as a serious threat requiring immediate action. He emphasized that the destruction of the Isfahan nuclear facility was a decisive blow, saying, “Without this facility, Iran cannot achieve a nuclear weapon.”

He also announced that the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah was part of a broader plan to dismantle the regional alliance led by Tehran, noting that the operation was carried out with the element of surprise, which he described as the key to success in confronting Iran.

According to Israel's Channel 13, Israeli Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir declared that the 'Israeli' military is striking Iran’s nuclear program “in a way the enemy never imagined.”

In another statement, Zamir added, “We have completed paving the road to Tehran,” signaling a readiness for sustained operations deeper into Iranian territory.

Civil defense sirens across Jordan sounded briefly on Sunday to mark the end of a public warning period issued amid rising regional tensions. Authorities confirmed there is currently no active threat, and urged citizens to remain alert and follow official updates.

The IOF confirmed the development, stating, “Hagari is assisting the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, like many reservists who were called up following the launch of the operation, at the request of the IDF Spokesperson, Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin.”

Walla reports that Hagari will oversee a central command center within the Spokesperson’s Unit, taking on a key leadership role during a time of heightened regional tension.

Hagari left the military after clashing with political figures over public messaging and transparency.

"Two members of the Mossad terrorist team who were making bombs, explosives, booby traps and electronic equipment were arrested," a police spokesperson told Tasnim.

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Sunday “Israel's” attack on a major gas facility on the shore of the Gulf sought "to expand the war beyond" Iran.

"Dragging the conflict into the Persian Gulf region is a major strategic mistake, likely deliberate and intended to extend the war beyond Iranian territory," Araghchi told foreign diplomats, referring to the attack on the South Pars refinery, adding that that attack was "an extremely dangerous move."

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Sunday that “Israel's” attack on his country this week sought to "derail" nuclear talks with the United States.

“Israel” police said Sunday that two additional bodies had been pulled from the rubble of a building in central “Israel” hit by a missile fired overnight from Iran.

Hadad said at least 7 more people were missing, likely under the rubble. An additional four people were killed at a separate site in northern “Israel”, according to authorities.

“Israel's” military said early Sunday it had struck Iran's defence ministry headquarters, "nuclear weapons project" infrastructure sites and other targets, as the rival nations exchanged fire for a third day.

The “Israeli” military said at around 2:40 AM (23:40 GMT Saturday) that its air force had just "completed an extensive series of intelligence-based strikes on a number of targets in Tehran related to the Iranian regime's nuclear weapons project", as well as on fuel tankers.

"The targets included the Iranian Ministry of Defense headquarters, the headquarters of the SPND (Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research) nuclear project, and additional targets" which “Israel” claimed advanced Iran's efforts to obtain a nuclear weapon.

Authorities sounded sirens Sunday morning to signal –again– the end of the heightened alert period in Jordan following the second wave of Iranians missiles that hit “Israel”.

Hebrew media reported early Sunday that six sites in Tel Aviv were directly struck by Iranian missiles in overnight attacks.

One of the reports indicated that a high-rise building in a major city within the Tel Aviv metropolitan area sustained a powerful direct hit.

Additional reports confirmed casualties in Rehovot, while at least 12 injuries were recorded in Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv, amid widespread panic and chaos among residents.

Four of those are critically injured.

Massive explosions were seen in Tel Aviv, as “Israeli” air defenses are currently grappling with a combined missile and drone attack from Iran.

Alert sirens have been activated in Jordan, after Iran launched a second wave of missiles and drones against “Israel”.

Iran fired a fresh barrage of missiles at “Israel”, state television announced early Sunday, as the rivals exchanged fire for a third day.

"A new wave of Operation Honest Promise 3 began a few minutes ago," Iranian state TV reported at around 03:10 am (2340 GMT Saturday), while broadcasting live images of “Israel”.

Air raid sirens have activated in Tel Aviv, after the “Israeli” military said it detected a second wave of Iranian missiles launched from the country towards “Israel”.

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said it identified Iranian missiles recently launched towards “Israel”

It called upon “Israelis” to enter the shelters and remain there until further notice. 

Iran's Revolutionary Guards said early Sunday that the country had struck sites used by “Israeli” warplanes for refueling, as the two rival states bombarded each other for a second day.

"Installations producing fuel for fighter planes and the (Israeli) regime's energy supply centres were targeted by a multitude of drones and missiles," the Guards said in a statement.

"The Iranian armed forces' offensive operations will continue more fiercely and more broadly if the depravity and attacks (against Iran) continue."

Iranian news agency Tasnim reported early Sunday that an “Israeli” strike had targeted the country's defence ministry headquarters in Tehran and damaged one of its buildings.

In "an attack on Tehran this evening by the air force of the Zionist regime, the headquarters of the defence ministry was targeted. One of the headquarters' buildings was lightly damaged," the agency said.

Four “Israelis” were killed and at least 14 wounded in the Iranian missile barrage, according to the latest toll by Magen David Adom.

Out of 14 injured, one is in critical condition currently in Rambam Hospital.

The Public Security Directorate on Saturday denied circulating claims of a missile strike in Amman, specifically the area of the “7th circle” 

Oddly, the footage turned out to be one of a burning couch, but as it happened in tandem with the strikes, people flocked and falsely believed it was fire caused by Iranian missiles. 

In a statement received by Roya, the directorate said it will take legal action against those responsible for publishing it.

Royal Jordanian Airlines announced the rerouting of incoming flights to alternative destinations following the suspension of flights in Jordanian airspace by the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC).

The airline stated that the rerouting of flights aims to ensure the safety of flight operations and passengers.

Royal Jordanian urged travelers to check their flight status and latest updates via the airline’s website and mobile app.

“Israeli” strikes hit two fuel depots in Tehran, the Iranian oil ministry said Sunday, shortly after Iran announced the launch of a new wave of strikes against Israel.

According to the oil ministry, the oil depots at Shahran northwest of Tehran and another reservoir south of the city were hit.

The depot at Shahran is on fire.

“Israel's” emergency services said Saturday that an Iranian missile hit on the Haifa region left 14 people injured, including one in a critical condition.

"Teams have reported 14 casualties at a two-storey home in the Western Galilee, including one in critical condition and the rest with varying levels of injury," Magen David Adom agency said in a statement.

The Public Security Directorate sounded sirens Saturday to signal the end of the heightened alert period in Jordan following the Iranian missile launch. 

A spokesperson for the directorate said, “Dear citizens, we announce the end of the alert period. We wish everyone safety and urge you to continue following official instructions as they are issued.”

Iron Dome attempts to intercept Iranian missiles over “Israeli” skies

The “Israeli” military said Saturday citizens were permitted to leave shelters where they had been told to take refuge after Iran launched a new barrage of missiles towards “Israel”.

"Following the situational assessment, the Home Front Command published that it is now permitted to leave protected spaces in all areas across the country and to remain near them," the military said in a statement.

“Israel's” firefighting service said Saturday that residential buildings were hit and a fire started in the country's coastal and northern districts after Iran launched a new barrage of missiles.

"Several incidents have been reported to the Israel Fire and Rescue Services command centres in the Coastal and Northern Districts, with hits on residential buildings and a fire in an open area", the Fire and Rescue Services spokesman Tal Volbovitz said in a statement.

Iran announced on Saturday it was launching a fresh wave of missiles towards “Israel” in retaliation against Israeli attacks.

"A new wave in Operation Honest Promise 3 has begun," state television said, referring to strikes launched by Iran against “Israel” last year.

The “Israeli” military said Saturday that it is carrying out air strikes in Tehran while simultaneously working to intercept missiles launched from Iran toward Israel.

"While the (Israeli military) is operating to intercept missiles launched from Iran, the (Israeli air force) is currently striking military targets in Tehran," the military said, adding that sirens sounded in several areas across “Israel”.

US President Donald Trump said he and Russian President Vladimir Putin had agreed in a phone call on Saturday that the conflict between “Israel” and Iran "should end."

"He feels, as do I, this war in Israel-Iran should end, to which I explained, his war should also end," Trump said on Truth Social, referring to Russia and Ukraine's conflict.

Iranian media said air defences were activated Saturday over Tehran and six other provinces, on the second day of “Israel's” air campaign against the Islamic republic.

News agency Tasnim said air defences were responding to "hostile targets" over Tehran and in the provinces of Hormozgan in the country's south, Kermanshah and Lorestan in the west, Qom in the centre, East Azerbaijan in the northwest, and Khuzestan in the southwest. State TV reported air defence activity in the same areas.

Another news agency, Fars, shared images of what it said was the "destruction of two Israeli aircraft in Tehran".

The “Israeli” military said it struck an underground facility Saturday in western Iran's Khorramabad that contained surface-to-surface and cruise missiles.

"This is an important site that was even featured in a propaganda video by the Iranian regime in the past," military spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin told journalists, referring to footage aired by Iran's Revolutionary Guards earlier this year showing what it described as a new underground missile facility.

Ali Shamkhani, a top advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, was said Saturday to be killed in an “Israeli” airstrike on Friday that targeted a "sensitive military center” in Western Iran, according to Iranian media. 

Shamkhani was Iran’s defense minister between 1997 and 2005, and the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council from 2013 to 2023.

Iran will launch “heavy and destructive” strikes on “Israel” within the next hours, according to the Iranian state TV cited by Reuters. 

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Saturday that Tehran would not attend nuclear talks with the United States so long as “Israel” kept up its attacks on the Islamic republic.

In a call with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, Pezeshkian said Iran favoured diplomacy, but will not "accept irrational demands under pressure or... sit at the negotiating table while the Zionist regime continues its attacks", according to a readout shared by the Iranian presidency.

Macron said in a statement of his own that he had asked Pezeshkian to "return swiftly to the negotiating table".

Iranian state television said air defences were activated Saturday to respond to a drone attack at the strategic port of Bandar Abbas on the second day of “Israel's” strikes on the country.

"The air defence of Bandar Abbas was activated to combat micro-drones," state TV reported without elaborating. 

Citing an air defence commander, it also said that "over the past hour, 10 hostile Israeli aircraft were shot down in different areas" of the country.

Britain is deploying assets to the Middle East amid tensions between Iran and “Israel”, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Saturday as he flew to Canada for G7 talks.

"We are moving assets to the region, including jets, and that is for contingency support," Starmer told reporters travelling with him on his plane.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Saturday that Israel's air strikes on Iran had the "clear support" of US President Donald Trump.

"Our enemy is your enemy... We're dealing with something that will threaten all of us sooner or later. Our victory will be your victory," Netanyahu said in a video statement addressed to Trump on the US leader's birthday.

"This is what Israel is doing with the support, the clear support of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, and the American people and many others in the world."

Iranian media reported a "massive explosion" on Saturday following an “Israeli” drone strike on the South Pars refinery in the southern port city of Kangan.

"An hour ago, an Israeli drone hit one of the South Pars Phase 14 refineries, causing a massive explosion and fire in the refinery," the Tasnim news agency said, while the Fars agency reported firefighters were working to extinguish a blaze that had erupted as a result of the attack.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned on Saturday that there would be a "more severe and powerful response" if “Israel” continued to strike his country.

"The continuation of Zionist aggression will be met with a more severe and powerful response from the Iranian armed forces," Pezeshkian said in a phone call with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, according to the Iranian presidency.

The United States still wants to meet with Iran, an official said Saturday, after Tehran said a meeting would be meaningless while US ally “Israel” is bombing the Islamic republic.

"We still hope to have talks," a US official told AFP on condition of anonymity.

“Israel's” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened on Saturday to strike "every target of the ayatollah regime" in Iran, adding that “Israeli” strikes had dealt a "real blow" to Tehran's nuclear programme.

"We will hit every site, every target of the ayatollah regime," Netanyahu said in a video statement on the second day of “Israel's” air campaign targeting Iranian military and nuclear sites. 

"We have dealt a real blow to their nuclear programme" since Friday, the prime minister added.

Iranian media reported a police chief and another officer were killed in drone strike Saturday, about 300 kilometres (186 miles) west of Tehran, as “Israel” kept up its air aggression against the Islamic republic for a second day.

"This morning police chief Major Habibollah Akbarian, along with second lieutenant Amir Hossein Seifi, were martyred by a drone strike in Asadabad city in the western province of Hamedan," the ISNA press agency reported.

The “Israeli” military said Saturday that its ongoing air campaign in Iran had now given it the required "aerial freedom" for actions from west Iran to Tehran, where 70 fighter jets carried out strikes overnight.

"We have created aerial freedom of action from west Iran all the way to Tehran... Tehran is no longer immune," military spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin told journalists, adding that the air force "launched a massive strike involving more than 70 fighter jets, targeting objectives in Tehran" overnight.

“Israel's” military on Saturday said it was "currently" launching attacks on several sites across Iran as it kept up its campaign targeting the Islamic republic's military and nuclear sites.

"We are currently launching attacks on several sites in Iran," military spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin said in a televised press conference after Iran responded to “Israeli” strikes with waves of drones and missile barrages.

The Iranian foreign ministry on Saturday said it would be "meaningless" to join nuclear negotiations with the United States in Oman while Iran is under attack by “Israel”.

"It is obvious that in such circumstances and until the Zionist regime's aggression against the Iranian nation stops, it would be meaningless to participate in dialogue with a party that is the biggest supporter and accomplice of the aggressor," the ministry's spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said in a statement ahead of the talks that were planned for Sunday.

Iran’s military claimed Saturday that its air defense forces had targeted and downed an “Israeli” F-35 fighter jet in western Iran.

In a statement, the Iranian army said the pilot managed to eject before the aircraft crashed.

The incident occurred, according to the military, in response to violations of Iranian airspace.

The statement did not specify the exact crash location or the pilot’s fate but added that Iranian forces remain on high alert for any additional threats.

The announcement follows reports from Hebrew media claiming “Israel” launched strikes on around 150 targets inside Iran, including the Fordow nuclear facility, and that nine Iranian scientists were killed in the attacks.

An Iranian missile strike wounded seven soldiers in central “Israel” overnight, a military spokesperson said Saturday, one of several barrages launched in response to “Israel's” attack on military and nuclear sites.

"Seven... soldiers were lightly injured last night, as a result of an Iranian missile hit to central Israel," the spokesperson said. 

“Israel's” commercial hub Tel Aviv is in central “Israel” and the city hosts the defence ministry and military headquarters.

'Israel' has killed three more Iranian nuclear scientists, state television reported Saturday, bringing to nine the overall number slain in 'Israel's' attack on Iran.

"Three of the country's nuclear scientists -- Ali Bekaei Karimi, Mansour Asgari, and Saeed Borji -- were martyred during the Zionist regime's terrorist attacks," the broadcaster said. Iranian media had said earlier that six others were killed in the Israeli attack.

'Israel's' Ben Gurion international airport is closed until further notice, a spokeswoman said on Saturday, as 'Israel' and Iran traded fire for a second day.

"There is no date or day set to reopen the airport," airport spokeswoman Lisa Diver told AFP.

French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday addressed growing concerns over the potential for broader conflict in the Middle East following a major 'Israeli' strike on Iranian territory.

His Majesty King Abdullah II, in a call he received from France President Emmanuel Macron on Friday, stressed the need to take immediate and urgent action to end the dangerous escalation in the region.

His Majesty warned of the repercussions of such an escalation, which threatens to plunge the region into further tensions and expand the conflict.

The King urged stepping up action to ensure stability in the region and protect its peoples, warning of the ramifications of the 'Israeli' attack on Iran on regional security.

His Majesty stressed that Jordan will not be a battleground for any conflict, and will not allow any threats to its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens.

Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi held a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Abbas Araghchi on Thursday, during which he strongly condemned the 'Israeli' aggression against Iran, calling it a dangerous escalation and a violation of international law.

According to an official readout, Safadi reiterated Jordan’s firm rejection of the attack, describing it as a “serious breach of Iran’s sovereignty” and warning that such provocations risk dragging the region into a broader conflict. He also stressed the need for collective efforts to de-escalate tensions and prevent the region from sliding into “a new regional war that threatens both regional and global peace.”

Safadi emphasized that while Jordan continues to condemn 'Israeli' aggression and advocate for calm, it will not tolerate any violation of its own sovereignty or threats to the safety of its citizens. “This is a firm and longstanding Jordanian position,” Safadi added, “and both Israel and Iran are fully aware of it.”

The Jordanian foreign minister also stressed that de-escalation can only be achieved by addressing the root causes of conflict in accordance with international law. He reiterated Jordan’s position that lasting security in the region depends on upholding the sovereignty of all states and ensuring the legitimate rights of peoples, especially the Palestinian people’s right to freedom, security, and an independent state on their own land.

A military source stated that Royal Jordanian Air Force planes are currently conducting intensive patrols and air sorties along the border areas.

Iranian state television reported a renewed ‘Israeli’ airstrike on the Natanz nuclear facility Friday evening, marking the second attack on the site within hours.

Safadi reiterated Jordan’s long-standing position that de-escalation must start with halting the war on Gaza and committing to a two-state solution.

“Jordan will continue to work for regional deescalation that must start with ending the aggression on Gaza,” he stated. “An irreversible path to Palestinian statehood on the basis of the two-state solution is essential. Only a just peace on the basis of this solution will ensure security for all.”
