The flight, identified as a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner capable of carrying over 200 passengers, was reportedly seen emitting thick black smoke near Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.
Local fire service officials confirmed to Agence France-Presse that an aircraft had crashed but did not specify the flight or provide casualty information.
