Abu Obaida: Israeli captive’s life at risk if rescue attempted
Abu Obaida, the military spokesperson for Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, issued a warning against any attempt by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) to forcibly rescue one of its captives, stressing that such efforts put his life in danger.
In a statement, Abu Obaida said, “Occupation forces are besieging a location where the captive, Matan Zangauker, is being held, and we firmly assert that the enemy will not be able to retrieve him alive.”
The spokesperson added that the IOF would bear full responsibility for his fate if it proceeds with a military operation to free him by force.
He emphasized that the captive's life had been preserved for a year and eight months, warning that any rescue attempt could lead to his death, holding the IOF directly responsible.
