Jordan's Public Security Directorate (PSD) said Sunday that anti-narcotics officers carried out wide-scale raids across multiple governorates, arresting 32 drug dealers and traffickers and seizing significant quantities of narcotics and illegal weapons.

In the northern Ramtha district, five wanted suspects involved in drug possession and distribution were apprehended.

In southern areas of the capital, Amman, 14 individuals were arrested over several days, including several classified as dangerous. Authorities also seized firearms during the operations.

In Zarqa Governorate, a major raid led to the arrest of five suspects, one of whom was listed as high-risk.

One of the detainees was found in possession of 12 bricks of hashish. In the Southern Shouneh district, five individuals were arrested during a separate raid, with quantities of marijuana plants and firearms confiscated.

One of the most significant busts involved thwarting an attempt to smuggle 25,000 narcotic pills hidden inside a shipment of candles. The contraband was discovered inside a vehicle crossing through the Jaber border crossing, and the main suspect was arrested.

In another case, officers raided the home of a suspected drug dealer in the Central Badia region, where they seized 16 kilograms of crystal meth and 1,500 narcotic pills.

Elsewhere in the southern Jordan Valley, a non-Jordanian national was arrested with 25,000 narcotic pills in his possession.

In Ma'an Governorate, a local drug dealer was arrested with 10,000 pills and four bricks of hashish.
