Missile from Yemen intercepted as alarms sound in Jerusalem, other areas
A missile launched from Yemen was intercepted on Sunday morning, prompting alarms in several parts of 'Israel', including Jerusalem, the Negev, the Judean Desert, and the Jerusalem Mountains, according to the 'Israeli' military.
Israel Occupation Forces (IOF) confirmed that one ballistic missile was successfully intercepted. No injuries or damage were reported. In response to the alarms, air traffic at Ben Gurion Airport was temporarily affected, with planes delayed in the air and landings halted for a short time.
This latest launch follows a series of missile and drone attacks reportedly originating from Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen. Over the weekend, Houthi-affiliated media claimed to have targeted Ben Gurion Airport with what they referred to as a "Yemeni goal," following three launches within a 25-hour period.
