In one of the deadliest massacres since the beginning of the war on Gaza, pediatrician Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar lost her nine children in an 'Israeli' airstrike that targeted their family home in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.

Gaza's Ministry of Health revealed that the strike completely destroyed the house and sparked a massive fire. Civil defense teams later recovered the bodies of nine victims, including eight children who were burned beyond recognition.

Dr. Alaa, who had been treating Gaza’s children at Nasser Medical Complex, was at the hospital when she received the devastating news. Some of the names of her children were identified as Yahya, Rakan, Raslan, Gibran, Eve, Rivan, and Sidin — a heartbreaking reflection of the daily tragedies endured by families in Gaza under relentless bombardment.

Eyewitnesses reported that Dr. Alaa suffered a nervous breakdown upon learning of the loss, while her husband was injured in the same strike.

Dr. Munir Al-Bursh, Director-General of the Gaza Ministry of Health, confirmed: “Nine siblings from the same family — the children of Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar — were martyred in the airstrike that hit their home early Friday.”

Khan Younis has faced weeks of intense 'Israeli' bombardment in what has been described as a deliberate campaign targeting civilians. Hundreds of women and children have been killed during the escalation.

This tragedy is one of dozens of massacres carried out against Palestinian families amid an alarming international silence. As the war continues, Gaza’s residents endure ongoing bombings, devastating loss, and the absence of any meaningful protection.
