Yair Golan, chairman of 'Israel’s' Democratic Party and former Israeli Occupation Forces general, has sharply criticized 'Israel’s' conduct in the ongoing Gaza genocide, warning that the country risks becoming a pariah state if it continues its current military approach.

In a Monday interview on Kan Reshet Bet’s This Morning, Golan stated bluntly: “A sane country does not kill babies for a hobby.” He condemned the government’s actions as morally unacceptable, accusing it of waging war on civilians and pursuing policies that involve population displacement.

Golan emphasized the Jewish people’s history of persecution and the moral responsibility 'Israel' should uphold.

He directly blamed the current government, describing it as dominated by extremist factions “lacking wisdom, morality, and the ability to manage a state during an emergency,” and called for its replacement to end the war.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu swiftly condemned Golan’s remarks as “outrageous incitement” against 'Israeli' soldiers and the state, defending the IOF as “the most moral army in the world.” Netanyahu accused Golan of spreading “antisemitic blood libels” and criticized his past controversial statements comparing 'Israel' to Nazi Germany.

The exchange underscores the deep political and moral divisions within 'Israel' amid the escalating genocide, highlighting tensions over the nation’s military strategy and ethical boundaries.
