The Houthi movement announced Thursday that it had targeted Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv—referred to by the group as “Lod Airport”—with a hypersonic ballistic missile.

According to the group’s military spokesperson, Yahya Saree, the strike caused “millions of settlers” to flee to shelters and temporarily halted airport operations for about an hour.

Saree said the group is expanding its military operations in an effort to “end the aggression and lift the siege on Gaza.”

He added that the Houthis would continue to impose an air blockade on Ben Gurion Airport and target maritime routes until their declared goals are achieved.

'Israeli' officials have not confirmed the use of a hypersonic missile or provided details on any impact from the alleged attack.
